The person in this role will manage the standardized patient program, working with part-time employees who take on roles as patients to help medical students to learn clinical skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
The job requires strong management abilities in two areas: people skills (to interview, hire, assign, and manage the standardized patients, and to assist with training as needed) and organizational/logistical skills (to manage a highly complex schedule of training and testing). It is essential for candidates to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Programs. The ability to work collaboratively and within a closely integrated team is essential.
Department prefers candidates with at least one year of management experience and/or experience working in medical education. Prefer candidates with basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical experience. Basic understanding of research techniques and principles preferred. Prefer candidates who have demonstrated the ability to effectively manage several projects, are detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have previous experience working with diverse populations
