The Assistant Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach will report to the Associate Director of Admissions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collect, analyze, and create reports on enrollment data that will assess and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Assist students with transition to BMCC, and guide them on using and navigating the student related functions of CUNYfirst.
Coordinate special events for prospective students and other constituents.
Participate in campus-wide retention and persistence outreach and activities.
Provide assistance with major college-wide events such as commencement, orientation, and registration and honors convocation.
Serve as a contact person for prospective students, high school counselors, and other external constituents.
Additional Job Duties & Responsibilities
Organize and implement recruitment for on-campus events such as information sessions, open houses, individual appointments, and other outreach activities.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and synthesizing data regarding all traditional off-campus recruitment.
In conjunction with other HEO staff, jointly supervise employees in recruitment and BMCC Express.
Assist in the further development of recruitment and communication plans for prospective students.
Collaborate with Public Affairs on branding efforts and other projects to facilitate brand recognition with prospective students (ads, brochures, acceptance packages, recruitment materials, etc.).
Work in partnership with special programs and alternative students such as ASAP, CD, Continuing Education, etc. for recruitment and event planning.
Assist with outbound contact with students by phone, text, or email and assist in script creating, training, and data cleanup, conversion and analysis with the Call Center.
Work schedule will include evenings and weekends.
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
Candidate must have at least three years of full-time experience working with students in a structured environment required, preferably in a diverse setting.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, in student personnel administration, higher education, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Experience with, and working knowledge of, current higher education practice, theory and research a plus.
Knowledge of best practices in student recruitment and outreach, with an emphasis on research, assessment and data-informed decision making desirable.
Successful implementation of student programs for a diverse student population, and evidence of successful college-wide collaborations a plus.
Candidate must be a dynamic individual who can work independently and under general supervision to provide the highest level of courteous, customer-focused service to all students, visitors and the campus community.
Candidate must possess superior interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail and proven leadership.

Oversees staff activities; plans and monitors employee scheduling and coverage and coordinates training
Serves as liaison to one or more departments providing student support services, such as Financial Aid
Coordinates selection process activities such as applications review, verification of information, and timely forwarding of data to other CUNY areas
Coordinates mailings and other communications
Monitors activity and reports on both transactions and outcomes
Completes projects to improve services and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
Performs related duties as assigned.
