This person will perform a variety of tasks to oversee the improvements and repairs to the greenhouse facilities and equipment; oversee environmental controls and pest management; requisition equipment and supplies; prepare soil and other supplies needed by researchers; oversee facility, equipment, systems and supply usage in order to ensure that proper procedures are used.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Horticulture, or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in horticulture practices, greenhouse operations or maintenance and supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and will require certification as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator prior to the end of applicable trial/probation period.
