JobSummary/Essential Job Functions: Under the Director, this position hasoversight for the administrative and financial aspects of grants and contractsfor the Departments of Surgery, Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, andOrthopedic Surgery & Biomedical Engineering. as liaison andpoint-of-contact for pre-and post-awards and ensures the accuracy and timelysubmission of proposals and budgets.
Plans and prepares financial budgets for grant/contract submission.
Assists with budgets and monthly expenditures for federal, foundation, and private- sponsored grants and contracts.
Reviews funding expenditures and maintains and reconciles records and ledgers.
Processes and maintains audit trails for contract payments and invoices, justifications for sole source services, purchasing, electronic requisitions, and departmental transfer vouchers for grant accounts.
Monitors funding years to ensure there are no overspent grants or lapse in funding years.
Ensures accuracy and compliance with UT fiscal and research policies.
Collaborates with Sponsored Project Accounting personnel on grant close-outs, effort reporting, and establishing new accounts.
Enters funding changes into IRIS system.
Provides a monthly tabulation of grants/contracts/agreement balances for the Director.
Assists with annual progress reports for external funding organizations.
Researches potential funding sources and informs faculty of upcoming deadlines.
Prepares and maintains all grant and contract documentation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
