The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota is looking for a lecturer to teach one introductory physics course and work on laboratory exercise development. This is a 55% appointment.
This position will be responsible for the following duties: 40% Lecturing 30% Development of laboratory exercises with Canvas 15% Preparation of syllabus, quizzes, tests, homework 15% Supervision of teaching assistants
Other duties of a similar scope as assigned.
Lecturer positions require a Ph.D. degree in physics or a related discipline. Applicable training and/or experience related to the assigned job responsibilities.
The person in this position must be able to teach introductory physics courses.
University level teaching experience with introductory physics or related courses will be viewed favorably.
