SUNY Geneseo is looking for a new team member to provide excellence in service to the College community.
This position will work collaboratively and effectively with supervisors, student employees, customers, and interdepartmental colleagues to understand and fulfill the copying, printing, and scanning, needs of the campus community.
Responsibilities will include: -Providing a high level of customer service at all times, including greeting all customers pleasantly, listening to their needs, and providing the highest quality of output possible -Developing knowledge and competency on all digital print and peripheral equipment, including routine maintenance -Becoming familiar with the Duplicating Center's price list, and learning how to price various print/copy jobs -Assisting with inputting customer billings into an Access database -Developing a basic ability in the use of software programs most commonly used on campus, and participating in additional training opportunities to develop color output and desktop publishing skills -Performing basic/minor adjustments to customer documents -Lifting, handling and relocating paper -Assisting with maintaining a sufficient inventory of supplies -Assisting with maintaining an inventory of plastic waste containers for the College's 100 multi-function devices, and dispensing them to departments, as needed -Assisting with preparing and submitting receiving documentation for Duplicating Center orders
Required Qualifications MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Office Assistant 1 classified position or be reachable for appointment on the current NYS Civil Service canvass list for SUNY Geneseos area location for an Office Assistant 1 position. NYS Preferred Lists candidates have preference.

-Strong verbal communications skills -Demonstrated experience providing a high level of customer service successfully -Experience using a PC and Microsoft Word -Demonstrated aptitude for learning, utilizing, and maintaining digital print and peripheral equipment (e.g., folding, cutting, drill stitcher, shrink wrap equipment). -Demonstrated artistic ability.
Job Duties/Responsibilities Function 1: Completion of Print Jobs
-Develop knowledge and competency on all digital print and peripheral equipment in the Duplicating Center, including routine maintenance. -Support a 72-hour turnaround time for large poster printing and 24-hour turnaround for time for non-complex print jobs, and operate all digital print and peripheral equipment to produce finished print jobs. Function 2: Customer Service-Greet all customers pleasantly, listen thoroughly to their needs and respond appropriately.-Provide the highest possible quality of output to each and every customer. Interact professionally with customers and supervisors at all times.
