The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Faculty responsibilities include advising students, service to the University, College of Education, Health, and Human Services, the department, and the community, and an active research agenda.

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include but not limited to: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities as defined in the MSCA contract.
Participate in teaching selected health science classroom and laboratory classes.
Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the health science curriculum.
Participate in the development, initiation and incorporation of instructional experiences within the curriculum designed to achieve and maintain academic excellence.
Ensure the development of core knowledge, skills and attitudes requisite to the development of competencies required for the successful completion of the undergraduate health science degree.
Assist with the development of individualized learning objectives intended to facilitate each student's potential.
Maintain accurate and appropriate student and academic records.
Provide supervision, instruction, advice and counsel to students assigned to experiential learning and thereby facilitate the students' successful completion of all learning objectives.
Participate in the identification and recruitment of applicants, the admissions process and promote enrollment of students in the health science major in collaboration with the Office of Enrollment Management.
Serve as an 'ambassador' for the Health Science department through participation in service activities of the University.
Identify sources for, and participate in the preparation and implementation of grants and contracts supportive of the activities of the Health Science department and University.
Serve on University-wide and departmental faculty committees when appointed or elected.
Participate in the search process activities of the University and health science department.
Participate in local, state, and national professional organizations for own professional development and to ensure program excellence and appropriateness of curriculum and instruction, and its application to instruction.
Attend training as required.
Perform any other job-related functions as assigned by the Department Chair.
Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS:
Master's Degree required, doctoral preferred.
Must possess current certification
Eligible for licensure as a provider such as: MD, PA, OT, ATC, NP in the State of Massachusetts.
A minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite
Good interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and handle confidential information.
