This position will be responsible for comprehensive management of department operations in MME, the COE’s largest academic unit. The Department Operations Coordinator will serve as the liaison to the college administrative unit and university functional offices. The primary responsibilities will be to provide wide-ranging service to the faculty and students of the department. This position will be expected to independently determine and implement solutions to complex problems, answer a variety of questions, plan and oversee execution of department events, manage space, and supervise department staff and student employees. Position will be responsible for working with and at the direction of the Department Chair to monitor the department budget, scholarship awards and fellowship distribution.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus two years of progressively responsible experience to include work in a business or customer service environment; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience supervising employees. Proficiency in document/report preparation and formatting in Word and Excel. Experience must demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and detail orientation skills. Ability to work effectively with multiple deadlines and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and community groups.
Bachelor’s degree. Experience in an academic environment. Extensive use of a wide range of electronic communication.
Posted Salary: $19.231/hr. minimum
