The Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department Chair is the academic and administrative leader of the Department. The ISE Department Chair reports to the dean of the College of Engineering and is a member of the College’s Leadership Team.
The ISE department chair, working in collaboration with the ISE faculty and staff, is responsible for the success, relevance, and continued progression of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. Charting a vision for the vibrancy and competitiveness of the department, and engaging ISE’s constituents in the strategic actions for the academic unit, are important responsibilities of the ISE Chair. The ISE department chair is also responsible for budget development, management and allocation; and for ensuring the operations, teaching, and research of the department.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (N.C. A&T) offers programs at the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. levels.
The Department’s undergraduate program is ABET accredited.

Qualifications include a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
Applicants should have a minimum of six years of demonstrated excellence in teaching and research activities consistent with eligibility for appointment at the rank of full professor; plus administrative experiences relevant to the position
