The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill has a faculty opening for its interventional pulmonary program. Academic rank is open and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The faculty member will be responsible for staffing the interventional pulmonary service and medical ICU at UNC Hospitals. This will involve becoming an active part of the Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Program at UNC Hospitals. The candidate will manage cases requiring interventional pulmonology procedures in our operating rooms, procedure suites, and medical wards as appropriate. Additionally, the person will be encouraged to collaborate with clinical and translational researchers in the fields of lung cancer care and biology, engineering and radiology. Investigator initiated research activities are encouraged. The position will be responsible for teaching and exposure of pulmonary and critical care fellows to interventional pulmonary techniques and approach. It is also anticipated that the candidate will mentor the interventional pulmonary fellow and will either direct or co-direct the fellowship.
Education and Experience:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine and Interventional Pulmonary. Successful completion of an advanced fellowship in Interventional Pulmonary.
