The Department of Counseling and Human Services at East Tennessee State University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor for a 9 month tenure track position beginning August 2020. Position responsibilities include:
teaching graduate level courses in the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Concentrations
practicum and internship supervision
advisement and mentoring graduate students in School Counseling
establishing positive relationships with local and regional clinical mental health agencies
professional counselors, and school systems
research and scholarly activities
appropriate service to the department, college, university, community, and the profession of Counseling.

Ph.D., or Ed.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program and institution (ABD’s will be considered, but degree must be in hand by December 31, 2020). Or, have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as full-time faculty member in a Counselor Education program
Professional identity counselor educator with a specialization in school counseling
Evidence of teaching experience and skill, including the ability to articulate a pragmatic teaching philosophy
Experience teaching and supervising school counselors and clinical mental health counselors
Qualitative and/or quantitative research skills and a research agenda for the next five years with a demonstrated potential for excellence
A commitment to program, college, university, community and professional service
