Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and contribution to multiple App State Online functional teams.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for assessing student preparedness and informing prospects of courses, requirements, and/or test preparations necessary for entry.
Respond to prospective and enrolled student support issues and serves as an advocate for addressing student needs.
This position represents a link for distance education students to the Appalachian academic college/department housing the program as well as the University's student support and resource offices on campus.
Travel to recruiting events approximately three times per month, including occasional overnight and weekend stays, may be required.
Because this position works with academic department chairs, program coordinators, and faculty, it is highly preferred that applicants have a master's degree.
Experience in student services and advisement are also preferred.
