Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Student Assistant for the Health Behavior, Society and Policy Department within the School of Public Health. The Student Assistant will support the development and administration of several research studies focused on mental health, cancer, and aging. This position is located in Piscataway, NJ. Among the key duties of this position are the following,
Supports research activities.
Conducts literature reviews.
Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations.
Prepares materials for submission of grant applications.
Prepares and maintains all necessary IRB regulatory documents and IRB submissions.
Collects and analyzes data.
Prepares and/or compiles data for special reports and analyses, monthly reports, program evaluations, and other related reports.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Currently a Rutgers' student.
This position requires the student assistant to have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Psychology coursework related to aging/gerontology.
Experience with older adults or caregivers and experience with human subjects research.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
PHYSICALDEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert up to 25 pounds.
Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license for travel to study sites which will be reimbursed
Salary: The maximum authorized hiring amount $12-$25/hour
