The School Psychology Program, in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for a 12 month, non-tenure track appointment, at the rank of assistant or associate professor, for Fall 2020. Our APA-accredited and NASP-approved Psy.D. program prepares students to provide school psychological services that are evidence-based, culturally-responsive, collaborative, and coordinated with other educational and health services.
The Director of Clinical Training will work in collaboration with the Department Chair to guide the school psychology program in all matters relevant to clinical training; student evaluation and experience; and maintaining program accreditation. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the provision and supervision of evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions across a diverse range of populations and settings. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to high quality clinical training, supervision, and teaching along with a vision for expanding school psychology services and programs provided to children, youth and families with a particular emphasis on underserved communities.
Candidates must also contribute to the programs' longstanding commitment to the role of context, systems, culture, and all forms of diversity in psychological and educational functioning. In addition, there are opportunities for teaching and clinical supervision. Finally, collaboration with faculty in the clinical and applied departments along with collaborating with the Director of GSAPPs' Center for Psychological Services is essential.
It is preferred that the successful candidate will also be eligible for psychology licensure in New Jersey and will exhibit a commitment and ability to prepare students to work with individuals from a diverse set of cultural backgrounds.
