This position uses skills as a seasoned and experienced administrative operations professional to independently manage, plan and administer the financial operations of TES/ERS/TSS. Has fiscal responsibility for the intake and accounting for the $18 Million of revenue generated annually. Performs short- and long-term planning for the organization. In addition, this position will serve as back-up to Director of TES/ERS/TSS and independently manage and make operational decisions in Director's absence. Supervises 4 full-time employees. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Skilled performance management and supervisory skills including: delegation and reassignment of tasks, monitoring production and quality of work, setting performance standards,identify training and development needs for staff, assessing individual capabilities and workloads, and conducting performance evaluations.
Proven knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting university resources. Knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. Thorough knowledge of business, accounting, finance, and budgeting principles and best business practices.
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and/or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees.
Demonstrated experienced in managing background checks; live scan and consumer reports.
Proficient knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations.
Proven knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. Skilled in analyzing and present data effectively and ability to prepare accurate financial reports in various formats.
Strong ability to plan and develop marketing and advertising strategies for TSS/TES programs and communications.
Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and/or personnel management.
Ability to identify, collect, and analyze information from multiple sources. Knowledge of recharge activity policies and procedures. Ability to develop recharge activity proposals and rate charges. Knowledge of cost accounting practices and the administration of income producing activities.
