Manages a team of Content Developers, a team that works in close collaboration with faculty on content development and serves as HBS Online pedagogy and course platform expert.
Delivers or facilitates training to Content Developers in learning design, HBS Online platform capabilities, accessibility style guide and standards, operational software tools and applications, and emerging technology, process, or online learning best practices.
Holds accountability for ensuring accessibility standards are met across all courses.
Coaches Content Developers in performance development and provides process and functional expertise.
Hires and orients new team members.
Acts as the content development representative on the content production management team, including for sign off on course quality.
Allocates content development staff into matrixed, cross-functional teams that develop courses for the HBS Online portfolio of products.
Ensures an appropriate level of engagement across the organization and new course development projects to ensure an understanding of course development status, challenges, and milestones.
Provides expertise in sourcing external resources to augment groups' capabilities / capacity.
Manages relationships with external editorial services vendors. Manages quality processes with external vendors.
Collaborates with Product Managers and Program Services team regarding methodology to gather, evaluate and respond to user feedback regarding course content.

Experience in content development and learning design, working in a higher education environment is desirable
Content knowledge / expertise in area(s) such as leadership, economics, finance, accounting, strategy is desirable.
Excellent judgment and discretion are critical, with an ability to recognize when issues need to be escalated.
