JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the PrincipalInvestigator (PI), the Senior Research Technician provides daily laboratorysupport and maintenance - ensuring laboratories are well-stocked with researchequipment and supplies for daily obesity-related research experiments.
Conducts obesity-related lab experiments assigned and observed by the PI.
Researches and disseminates findings related to obesity research.
Analyzes, writes, and explains results produced from research experiments in scientific format.
Assists research scientists prep and collect research instruments.
Cleans, sanitizes, and sterilizes animal instruments, places equipment, and labels bottles.
Orders, receives, and stores supplies and equipment.
Processes transfer paperwork pertaining to germ-free animals.
Files and maintains research data reports.
Records and enters statistical data obtained from PI and research scientists.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
