The Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking applicants (M.D., M.D./PhD) for full time appointment as faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (non-tenure). The candidate will assume responsibility on the diagnostic cytopathology service including FNA; participate in teaching and some optional surgical pathology service of interest. Our dynamic faculty is focused on excellence, academics and transformative change. There are opportunities to join established basic and translational research programs. The cytology services at the three major UPMC academic hospitals have over 115,000 GYN and 15,000 non-GYN cases per year staffed by 21 board-certified faculty cytopathologists. UPMC has received national recognition as one of "America's Best Hospitals." The candidate must be board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology, and demonstrate a record of academic productivity, commensurate with their years of experience.
