The Aging Institute of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC seeks exceptional candidates at the Assistant/ Associate/Full Professor level to explore the biology of aging. Tenure status is dependent on qualifications and experience. The Aging Institute bridges the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences and the UPMC, combining the scientific environment of the fifth highest NIH-funded institution in the United States with a multi-billion dollar health care system that is the dominant provider in Western Pennsylvania. We seek highly motivated investigators with a PhD and/or MD degree who have demonstrated a track record for creative, innovative, and high impact science. Candidates working on potential drivers of aging such as metabolism or inflammation, or on specific age-related health conditions are encouraged to apply. The position will provide an attractive start-up package, and a superb environment for collaboration with basic, translational, and clinical scientists.
