The Renal-Electrolyte Division in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC has several opening for open rank Assistant, Associate or Professors of Medicine. Rank and tenure status to be determined based on qualifications. The Division of Renal Electrolyte has built a dynamic team of productive and collaborative physician scientist. Candidates must have an active research interest and demonstrated research funding record. Primary responsibilities include independent and collaborative research, writing and manuscript submissions, obtaining external research funds, and teaching. There will be opportunities for academic growth, career development and mentorship, with protected time for research activities, depending on applicant interests and accomplishments. We have strong basic and clinical research programs, and encourage translational research activities. Academic appointment is commensurate with professional experience. There are opportunities for leadership roles within our division. Compensation packages are competitive.
