Position Summary: Design, develop and deliver excellent learning experience for graduate students to assist their pursuit of professional skills and fulfillment of their career aspirations. Contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practices in professions relevant to the mission of the Institute. Collaborate and serve to achieve academic excellence in the business of the Institute.
Responsibilities General Responsibilities: Responsible for curriculum development and delivery. Be available on campus to meet with student and colleagues during the academic year. Maintain professional currency in field of expertise. Thesis direction and reading. Directed student supervision. Student advising. Attendance at faculty meetings. Participate in events and activities that are essential to the Institute. *Teach up to 10 weekly contact hours Work with students who have Chinese/English as both A/B languages Hold weekly office hours
Education: MA required, PhD desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *Professional experience in Chinese>English Interpretation and translation *Interpretation and translation experience in varied domains and contexts
Experience: *Experience teaching interpretation and translation *Experience working with learners who are working A>B and B>A
