Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Work Assistant for the Office of Computing & Technology within the School of Public Health. The Work Assistant provides basic computer support functions within Rutgers School of Public Health.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides helpdesk/computer support to School of Public Health faculty, staff and students.
Provides smart classroom A/V support.
Provides support for hardware/software troubleshooting.
Helps maintain School of Public Health website via simple edits and updates.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Previous experience or education in an IT-related field or position (lab monitor, helpdesk technician, etc.) required.
Experience with Dreamweaver and knowledge of Web Design also a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated.
Must be able to multi-task.
Good customer service skills.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Must have general technical knowledge.
Must possess vehicle or alternate means of transportation and valid driver's license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
Salary: Maximum authorized amount $15/hour
