Reporting to the Assistant Dean in the Office of New Student Programs, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration and assessment of transfer evaluations for new and continuing students at Rutgers University-Camden. The incumbent will be a part of the administrative team within the Office of New Student Programs.
The Office of New Student Programs coordinates programs to assist new students in making a successful academic and social transition to Rutgers-Camden. These programs include Orientation, Welcome Week, seminars, and workshops. In addition, programs for parents and families are offered to assist in the successful transition of their child to college. The Office provides support services and a comprehensive leadership experience that assists the growth and the development of new students within the Rutgers University Camden community.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or administrative experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. Skills in office procedure, typing, accounting, and supervision of student staff. Ability to work well with students, parents, faculty, and staff, solve problems, and organize complicated clerical tasks.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, RU Transfer, NJ Transfer, and understanding degree requirements.
Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and within departmental budgets.
