The Office of Research aids researchers across the university in dealing with administrative details associated with research. The OR Information Systems (ORIS) group designs, develops and supports applications that facilitate the business processes of all the units within the Office of Research. ORIS is seeking to hire a User Interface Web Developer to work with other developers to create new and maintain current web applications and other software lifecycle duties as assigned.
The individual in this role performs the following job duties, such as create and develop new web applications; migrate unsupported legacy applications to current technologies; update and maintain existing web applications. Assist with software prototyping; performance and functional testing; peer code review; software debugging; and gathering necessary software requirements information.
The individual in this position will report directly to the ORIS applications development manager.

Experience with the Composer dependency manager; experience with React JS; experience with SASS; working knowledge of ORM frameworks; working knowledge of PHP; working knowledge of SQL (preferably Microsoft SQL Server); working knowledge of automated testing; working knowledge of CI/CD methodologies; experience communicating with a wide range of individuals of varying technical skill; two years of web application development experience.
Target Salary: $51,000.00 - $55,000.00 Annually
