The Manager, Global Career Development collaborates with The Wasserman Center for Career Development, the Office of Global Programs, global site staff, the Office of Global Services, faculty and School representatives, and the Director for Global Career Development to provide direction and strategic planning for global career development initiatives and programs across the GNU. The Manager oversees matters related to US national students seeking employment abroad and non-US national students seeking employment in the US. This position works in conjunction with unit leaders, develop tools and resources, staff trainings, and perform related tasks.
Required Education: Bachelors degree in a related field
Preferred Education: Master's degree in Higher Education, International Education, Counseling or related field
Required Experience: 5+ years relevant experience including career development/counseling, experiential learning, and/or program management required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience in an academic environment and with international or other experiential learning programs preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including university partners/vendors; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and student information systems; excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Language proficiency in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, or Czech preferred.
