The Department of Microbiology & Immunology is seeking a full-time laboratory Technician B to assist with experiments in yeast molecular genetics in the Symington Lab.
The responsibilities include preparation of growth media, preparation of stock solutions, ordering replacement supplies and maintaining laboratory equipment. In addition, the technician B will assist members of the laboratory to perform molecular genetic experiments, including genomic DNA isolation, yeast transformation, plasmid construction and PCR genotyping.
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training and experience.
