Event-planning duties include coordinating visits by speakers and others guests of the Center, and planning seminar visits, retreats, small conferences, and other special events. Events to be staffed are generally but not exclusively during normal business hours: some events extend into the evening, and occasionally there is need for weekend staffing. Many events follow a weekly routine; larger events are occasional or rare. Administrative duties include scheduling appointments and meetings; occasionally organizing travel; and other related duties, as required. Financial tasks associated with these events are part of the duties of the position. These include but are not limited to processing reimbursements and honoraria; preparing for payment of invoices; and purchasing event and office supplies. The Coordinator will report to and will work closely with the Executive Director.
