Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Summary: The Mental Health Professional II (MHP II) provides clinical services to clients and fulfills specific clinical and supervisory functions. Some of the primary responsibilities include providing clinical services, completing client assessments and case management. The MHP II may exercise clinical oversight and supervision, serve as a liaison among stakeholders and provide significant discipline-specific and agency-wide leadership on clinical matters.
Additional Department Summary: The Staff Therapist - Women's Resource Center provides direct counseling services to enrolled University students, outreach and consultation services to members of the University community, and, as needed, training to students in the mental health professions. Responsible for completing required training related to UA policies/procedures and laws/regulations that create a more hospitable and respectful workplace and a safer work environment. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work and two (2) years of work experience in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work. Licensure in the state of Alabama at the level of an independent practitioner. Ability to work at times outside of normal work hours.
