The Drake University Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is seeking two (2) outstanding teachers for two (2) nine-month full-time positions as Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning August 2020. A Master’s Degree (or near completion) in mathematics is required, with a PhD in mathematics or a related field preferred. Any research areas are welcome. Research specialties among our faculty include algorithmic randomness, applied mathematics, the history of mathematics and mathematics education. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and be able to teach core mathematics courses such as Pre-Calculus and Calculus. The course load is 21 credit hours per year. Our courses are typically 3-4 credit hours.
