The Educational Program Coordinator will support the ACUHO-I Associations portfolio with a focus on educational events, conferences, and volunteer management, including administrative support and logistical execution of those events; will not only support high-quality educational programs, services, and resources, for housing and residence life professionals across the country and world, but will work closely with volunteer leaders, as well; utilizes both a program management perspective and a volunteer leadership lens; provides administrative support of educational projects and events; facilitates proposals and logistical set-up; contributes to budgeting process for projects and events; assists with meeting management; understands educational event policies and procedures; contributes to the overall mission of the Association including its member institutions, corporate partners, and individual professionals; key areas of work include volunteer management, content development, event management support and support the administrative aspects of the Associations educational programs and events; travel will be required to fulfill the expectations for this position.
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, project management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 3-5 years in hospitality and tourism management, event planning, convention service, and/or project management; strong and proven leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; interest in and understanding of educational environments; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and often ambiguous atmosphere; skilled at performing multiple tasks and balancing priorities; demonstrated ability to plan and execute events and conferences.
Master's degree in an associated field (i.e. student affairs/higher education, hospitality, human resources, project management, tourism, etc.); association or non-profit management experience; university student affairs experience; experience with volunteers in an educational/community context.
Target Salary: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 Annually
