Job Summary/Basic Function: The purpose of this position is to review and process personnel and payroll actions, and to support other HR functions as required. This is accomplished by processing F3.2's for payroll, maintaining personnel files, reviewing personnel documents for accuracy and completeness, entering information into the University's Banner software system, and assisting various departments regarding process of personnel and payroll actions. Other duties include reviewing reports, identifying and suggesting corrective processes, reviewing HR processes and assisting with automation. This position will also assist with the processing of visas as needed for Lamar faculty and staff.
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of three years of Human Resources or Payroll experience.
A four-year Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution. Eight additional years of relevant experience can substitute for degree.
The successful applicant must have strong Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Banner preferred.
