Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Developer for the Office of Information Technology – Administrative Services. This position is under the direction of a Associate Director for Enterprise Application Services (EAS), and provides analytical and technical support for the University’s Cloud Administrative Systems including Oracle Cloud ERP (Financials, Project Portfolio Management); Jaggaer(formerly SciQuest) System consisting of Sourcing Director, Total Supplier Manager, Total Contract Manager, Accounts Payable and Procurement modules; and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (ARCS, FCCCS, etc.).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for production support, integration, analysis including patches, planning, design, development, implementation, subsequent phases and maintenance of Cloud Administrative Systems, and integration within Cloud Administrative Systems – including business transactions supporting Rutgers’ applications.
Works closely with Business areas to perform technical troubleshooting and data analysis to determine root cause for production issues, identifies and recommends solutions.
Writes new code and/or maintains existing code for interfaces, reports, and extensions for the Cloud Adminstrative Systems that will provide the user with applications for reporting and updating databases as required.
Performs analysis and develops a detailed design of new and existing system requests.
Consults with the Associate Director and user departments' staff as required to gather and/or clarify requirements for proposed development/integration projects, support of new functionality and maintenance; identifies and suggests business and systems solutions to problems.
Keeps abreast of the latest technologies, releases, and considers how new features and functionality may be used to solve challenges in the business areas.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related technology field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five years progressive experience in technical or techno functional capacity with integration experience of Procure to Pay business cycle and or Financial system.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Structured programming techniques
A good understanding of software SDLC
Ability to understand complex, integrated, state-of-the-art and legacy computer systems.
Integrating data from disparate systems into/out of cloud based applications
Troubleshooting software applications in a SaaS web based environment.
Document search tool to extract data from the application
Relational and hierarchical data base concepts and design
Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) products, including EPM Automate
Jaggaer or a similar integrated P2P solution, integrating a P2P solution with Oracle ERP Cloud and familiarity with tools and processes or comparable experience with other applictions
Coding to Jaggaer standards using Java Developer and the Web Message tool.
Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) e.g. Automation Anywhere
Eclipse, Git, CVS, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred.
J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition), Oracle Application Development Framework and Fusion Middleware – ADF (Faces), ADF BC, ADF Tasks Flows/Portlets, Web Services
Customization using PaaS – Java Cloud Service SaaS Extensions PaaS(JCSSX), DBCS, ICS, customizing the integration, data consumption using web services and web service security
Unix scripting, developing web services: RESTful, SOAP, WSDL
Single Sign-on configuration
Familiarity with oracle data transformation toolset
Strong JAVA platform programming techniques with Web design experience
Large financial (Enterprise Resource Planning) ERP systems including Financials, Procurement, Project Portfolio Management, Jaggaer, Enterprise Performance Management (or Hyperion)
UNIX and/or Linux, MS Windows
Oracle Ebusiness suite – Financials, Procurement, Projects and Grants Management modules
