Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Full Time Clinician Administrator to work in our Justice Juvenile Commission (JJC) Facility located in Bordentown, New Jersey. The Clinician Administrator provides psychological assessments and advanced level clinical treatment that meets quality and quantity standards when required. The position assumes all managerial responsibility for defined services while demonstrating competency in recognizing the unique needs and applies relevant treatment approaches for juvenile residents (ages 12-17) and young adult residents (ages 19-22).
Provides oversight for the clinical care of juvenile residents seen by the University Correctional Healthcare Programs at the assigned Juvenile Justice Commission facilities.
Provides supervision and consultation as needed to Clinicians, Forensic Mental Health Clinicians, and students.
In collaboration with the Vice President, establishes program goals, monitors progress, and maximizes success of the operation.
Assures that clinical documentation and other ancillary documentation meet quality, quantitative and time standards.
Assumes a leadership role in contributing to the improvement of the program and to enhancing physical and mental health services provided to the inmates of the facilities operated by the Juvenile Justice Commission.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Must have a Doctoral Degree in Psychology and seven (7) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting.
One (1) year of relevant supervisory experience and one (1) year of juvenile justice experience required.
Current license as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of New Jersey or must have an unrestricted permit to practice psychology in New Jersey (license) by the New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners.
Current CPR certification.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective team leadership and interpersonal skills.
Must possess own vehicle or have alternative means of transportation from one site to another.
Must be approved by the Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) and adhere to all JJC requirements.
