The Stem Cell Program at Boston Children's Hospital invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Research Laboratory Supervisor for the Gregory Laboratory, which is engaged in the study of RNA regulation in stem cells and cancer.
Responsibilities include supervision of the daily laboratory operations, including purchasing and equipment maintenance, establishment of procedures and maintenance of records, and documentation to ensure the laboratory's compliance with hospital and governmental regulations.

The orientation and training of all new personnel,
Preparing for the Biosafety/Chemical/Radiation Annual Audit, overseeing chemical and biohazardous waste disposal/pickup, work with Research Operations and Engineering departments to handle infrastructure requests/needs,
Routinely attend training sessions for laboratory safety, software updates, procurement processes, and website maintenance,
Serve as the Fire Evacuation Coordinator and emergency contact for the lab,
Facilitate the annual renewal of laboratory and radiation safety trainings for all lab members.
Administrative Duties include the onboarding of new lab members (perform hands-on training, oversee their online training, and ensure they sign up for in-class training) and fill out necessary paperwork (Lab Coat, Lab Notebook, Building Access) and visa applications. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree AND a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience OR Master of Science AND 4 years of relevant work experience.
A high degree of problem solving and decision making skills.
Detail-oriented with proficient organizational, writing, and record-keeping skills.
Efficient time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
The ability to meet high-performance standards with regard to work quality and quantity.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and customers.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems.
Competency in the use of laboratory equipment and automation.
