The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Pulmonary Translational Research Core, is hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of clinical research coordination for assigned studies conducted in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine.
The Research Coordinator will assist Principal Investigators (PI's) with implementation of study protocols, subject recruitment, consenting, scheduling and facilitating study visits, data collection, biological sample collection, processing, storage and shipment, and maintaining research documents, case report forms and source documents. Administrative tasks include facilitating meetings, answering queries, and handling invoices.
Other duties will be required as assigned by supervisor. Some involvement in clinic work will be required including the performance of phlebotomy with minor laboratory skills, electrocardiograms, pulmonary function and other study procedures as mandated by study protocols. Strong communication skills are essential. Flexible and occasional non-standard hours may be necessary.
Bachelor's degree in a science or health related field. Experience with research protocols or in a research work environment preferred. Experience with University processes and system as well as IRB submissions, favorable. Excellent computer skills, a plus. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
