To provide primary grant award administration to the ADVANCE-IT Project. This position is responsible for work generated by the PI and other associated project administration and staff. Its primary responsibility will be that of working directly with the Project leadership team to ensure grant and research management as regards the Project; implementation of grant protocols and deliverables.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
In the Division of Academic Affairs, the primary purpose of the ADVANCE IT Project is to facilitate dynamic transformations that (1) promote equity and reduce barriers for the recruitment and advancement of women at all academic levels; (2) foster greater self-efficacy for women in the areas of scholarship and engagement; and (3) inform best practices for the advancement of women through a deeper understanding of the roles of gender and gender/race intersectionality. The ADVANCE-IT Project, has as its goal to catalyze and implement systemic approaches that significantly increase the representation and career advancement of women in STEM and SBS disciplines at NC A&T State University. In addition, the ADVANCE-IT objectives also includes filling knowledge gaps in regards to the empowerment and equity of women in the academy.

Bachelor's degree in a business-related area (e.g., Business Administration, Public Administration, etc.) with a minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative/management experience. Will consider individuals with an Associate degree with at least three years of progressively responsible administrative/management/clerical experience. The applicant must have knowledge of current office management and operation procedures, ability to operate various office equipment, and knowledge and ability to communicate correctly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Applicant must possess a sincere willingness to work as a team member, and also should have the ability to work cooperatively with personnel internal and external to the grant/project.
