The CPAC Laboratory seeks to hire a Program Manager to work within the lab to ensure that the scientific agenda is executed efficiently, effectively and in compliance with all local, and federal, regulations and guidance. The Program Manager will serve in a key role within CPAC, and is responsible for Project Management, Research Development, and Strategic Planning within the lab. The Program Manager will work with the CPAC Laboratory Co-Directors in the following: - Grants administration including monitoring and reporting Laboratory outcomes to funding agencies - Strategic planning as well as external and internal review processes - Promoting Laboratory services including interfacing with CFAR investigators and laboratory members to help ensure investigators select appropriate laboratory services to meet their research goals - Serve as primary point of contact for external and internal investigators to plan, schedule and ensure execution of research projects - Managing and appropriating Laboratory resources to execute research projects - Contributing to scientific writing and participating in preparing and submitting the CFARCPAC progress report and competitive renewal
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Ability to plan for organizational needs, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to facilitate quality improvement through recognition of opportunities for improvement in processes and efficiencies, formulate new ideas and directions, and develop and implement new strategies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to both function independently, while also working in a highly collaborative environment as an effective team player.
Ability to think strategically, identify and solve problems, plan and implement.
A desire to learn and a commitment to excellence.
Master's degree is strongly preferred. Candidates with more than one year of experience working in an HIV/AIDs related field will be prioritized. Prefer candidates that have experience in building a strong social media presence such as Facebook and Twitter.
