The UNC Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in Chapel Hill is expanding our Division. We are seeking 1-2 psychiatrists to provide clinical care on the Child & Adolescent Consult Liaison Service at UNC Hospitals. We are also seeking 1-2 psychiatrists to provide clinical services in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Programs. These are full-time fixed term (clinical) positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The rank will be based on the qualifications of the applicants. The consult liaison psychiatrist would work within a team setting that includes PhD Psychologists. The outpatient setting would be a faculty practice providing direct care to patients and families with additional clinical opportunities in tele-psychiatry and/or integrative care clinics. Primary sites are currently in Raleigh and Chapel Hill. Duties also may include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. Educational and research opportunities are available and encouraged. The applicant may also consider roles within both the Consult Liaison Service and the Outpatient Service.
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate should have strong clinical skills and demonstrated teaching skills necessary to enable them to successfully provide educational and training experiences for medical students, residents, fellows, other health care trainees, and clinicians. Candidates should have clinical experience working with children and adolescent patients of all ages.
