Coordinates the daily operations of outreach and outlying client service activities in the Pathology market area. Supports the mission, goals and objectives of Columbia University (CU). The incumbent will serve as a liaison between outreach clients and the department.
Develop and maintain a regular on-site visit schedule for Outreach clients providing support needed to ensure high quality service for their pathology needs.
Maintain frequent communication with client offices providing feedback to Pathology Leadership on client concerns, issues and opportunities for process improvement.
Identify potential new clients and provide marketing materials.
Maintain a client database including client demographics practice contact information and any special needs.
Actively participate in the development of process for on boarding new clients by providing on-site support and education.
The OC will also perform other duties as necessary to functioning of the unit.
Coordinates outreach AP couriers activities - 25%
Coordinates clients needs to support pathology report delivery and distribution - 15%
Procures, prepares and organize supplies delivery to clients. Supports clients needs for requisitions redesign, editing and reordering of requisitions. Reviews couriers invoices. - 15%
Develops and implements a sales strategy bases on physician needs and interest - 25%
Plans for and implements changes within the regional market bases upon dynamic changes in customer demands and business growth; coordinates changes appropriately - 15%
Serves as a main liaison between sales representative and Pathology Dept - 5%
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
Medical Technologist or HT certification preferred
Practical knowledge and experience with CoPath a plus.
3-5 years directly related experience.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Must have proven ability to manage people. Candidate is expected to successfully achieve desired outcomes, work with minimal supervision while applying sound business judgement.
