This position is in the Department of Emergency Medicine.� The position is located at Renard Hospital.� This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Under the direction of the Director, Finance & Administration, this position performs administrative, accounting and financial duties for the Division of Emergency Medicine.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting with the accounting functions of the department including the general ledger, financial reporting and review of biweekly and monthly payroll.
Works with/supports the Director of Business Operations and Director, Finance & Administration in the preparation of the annual operating budget and annual strategic plan which includes both general and specific funds.
Assists in the preparation of financial reports, projections, provider profit and loss financial statements and ad hoc financial reporting as needed. This includes being responsible for the identification, retrieval, and manipulation of data from various data sources to perform analysis, assessment, and reporting necessary for Division Leadership to make decisions to support strategic initiatives, program development and ongoing projects. Must be able to present complete and concise recommendations to leadership based on research and analysis outcomes.
Completes all fiscal monthly, quarterly and year-end closing procedures in coordination with the Medical School’s Finance Office and other division accounting personnel.
Verify receipt vouchers and daily approvals of AIS documents.
Coordinates, assists and oversees the annual space inventory and reporting with the Administrative Coordinator.
Equivalent of Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Accounting / Finance related field with 5 years of experience in finance and business management areas.
Working knowledge of computer programs including spreadsheet applications, and interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with discretionary judgement.
The hiring range for this position is $21.18 - $26.99 per hour.
