General Purpose: The Career and Academic Planning Center is committed to providing career and academic support. The Career and Academic Planning Center student worker will provide support for the success coaches and center.
This job pays $10.00 an hour and maximum of 20 hours per week. You will report to your supervisor in the Student Success Center.
Performs a variety of clerical and technical support for the Career and Academic Planning Center, requiring knowledge of department functions and PeopleSoft usage.
Respond to current and prospective student inquiries, answer telephones, and provide requested information, run departmental errands, and greet visitors.
Prepare testing lab for daily operations and clean lab during lunch and at the end of the testing period.
Prepares routine reports, completes project assignments, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Must have a completed FAFSA on file;have to be eligible for FWS; have to be enrolled in at least 6 (six) hours; and must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by federal financial aid guidelines.
Problem Solving: Problems are different, but tend to come up often. Check with supervisor if none of the regularly established procedures fix the problem.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Has no authority for the supervision of others.
Oversight and Direction: Receives sufficient supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practice, instructions or previous training.
