The position will involve designing, building, and testing of various ultrafast spectroscopy experiments including transient absorption microscopy, two-dimensional visible, and mixed visible-infrared spectroscopies. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary group to advance the state-of-the-art in ultrafast spectroscopy of complex material and biological systems. Theory experience (electronic structure, dynamics, DFT) is a plus but not required.
Doctorate -Chemistry or Physics
PhD is chemistry or physics and any research experience.
Background in ultrafast spectroscopy with preference for microscopy experience. Additional desired skills include familiarity with large data analysis methods, LabView programming, Python programming, basic electronics, hardware design (e.g. CAD), and materials characterization methods (e.g. SEM, AFM).
