Days/Hours: Various days & shifts to cover service needs, but primarily Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm
Under the direction of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, contributes to the health and well-being of patients by delivering outstanding, high quality veterinary technician services that meet the standards of the MVMA and MAVT as well as VMC standards and protocols. Competently assists Clinicians and other medical staff members with veterinary medical procedures which may include (but are not limited to) specialty care (i.e. Small Animal Medicine and Surgery), laboratory procedures, radiography, anesthesiology, administering treatments, animal nursing, animal restraint and handling, preventative care, clinical research, etc. within assigned service area as well as across functions as needed. Performs at the highest level of veterinary technical expertise in the service area assigned, assisting with complex cases both independently and with some minimal supervision. The specific duties and work schedule will vary based on current needs. This position is responsible for the day to day technical and customer service duties of the Veterinary Referral Center (VRC).
Vet Tech Pay Range: $15.44 to $21.31 USD/hour
Senior Vet Tech Pay Range: $15.90 to $27.80 USD/hour

Veterinary Technician Minimum Qualifications Graduate of Veterinary Technician or equivalent program, certified or certification eligible as MVMA/MAVT technician. Must possess customer service orientation and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Senior Veterinary Technician Minimum/Required Qualifications Graduate of Veterinary Technician or equivalent program, certified as MVMA/MAVT technician or certified in another state and eligible to be certified in Minnesota. At least one year of veterinary technical experience. Ability to act independently with little or no supervision. Must possess customer service orientation and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria: Problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of veterinary medicine terminology, knowledge of proper restraint and handling of large and small animals. A willingness to be flexible to meet patient care needs. Credentialed technician with certification recognized in Minnesota. Proficiency with PC and software programs.
