The Division of Stroke and Neurocritical Care in the Department of Neurology at Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Medical School, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking two full-time faculty neurointensivists to start on July 1, 2018. Neurocritical Care board eligible or certified physicians who have strong interests in clinical research and teaching are encouraged to apply as we expand our combined division of stroke and neurocritical care. We are the academic department providing medical education for the medical students, neurology residents and fellows for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, a joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and the primary teaching hospital for Rutgers RWJ Medical School. The Department of Neurology at Rutgers-RWJ Medical School is an academic department with more than 20 full time faculty, residency program of 16, and 5 nationally recognized centers of excellence. The division of stroke and neurocritical care is expanding rapidly with anticipated opening of a new, dedicated, state-of-the-art neuroscience and neurotrauma intensive care unit, expected to open during the last quarter of 2018.
Minimum Education and Experience:
To qualify, candidates must be graduates of an ACGME-accredited neurology; residency and UCNS-accredited neurocritical care fellowship; and be board certified. Rank will be consistent with qualifications.
