The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Leadership to begin fall 2020.
Our graduates use scholarly inquiry and practice to guide decisions on all levels of educational activity, in K-12 and higher education settings. We are seeking a research scholar with experience in higher education to help prepare outstanding education leaders at all levels. The ideal candidate is one who is prepared to help build scholarly capacity in our students that allows them to investigate and deal with social issues of equity and democracy in their professional settings.
The selected candidate will be expected to teach both online and face-to-face classes and will be expected to be on campus for teaching, service, and office hours at least 2 -3 days per week. May involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery.
An earned doctorate in the field of Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs or in Educational Leadership with a cognate in Higher Education.
A record of professional experience in higher education.
Potential for conducting scholarship, collaborating with faculty and students on issues related to educational administration leadership, serving on doctoral dissertation committees, satisfying service expectations of the University, interacting with administrators, teachers and students in educational settings and writing and supervising grants.
Ability to serve as the chair of doctoral dissertation committees to successfully guide students to the completion of their respective doctoral degrees.
Teaching experience at the university/college level or related professional/work experience.
Experience serving on dissertations as a chair and/or as a committee member.
