We are expanding opportunities for JGPT postdocs to become Part-Time Lecturers (PTLs). We have two PTL positions for the Spring 2020 semester if you are interested. Our plan is to offer the PTL positions to the postdocs in order of seniority/background training.
Principles of Toxicology (16:963:501, 3 credits, $5493). Working with Lauren Aleksunes, you would attend a 1-hour class of ~6 MS and PhD students each week (not required to attend the 2.6-hour class periods with PharmD students). During some weeks, you would provide basic lectures on toxicology (Chapter 2 of Casarrett & Doull's Toxicology, PPT lectures already available – Causation, Dose-Response, Toxicity Testing), coordinate the student presentations on historical toxicology disorders, assist with lectures from industrial scientists, and actively participate in experimental design in-class sessions. Grading would include take home problem sets with established rubrics as well as short essays from in-class exams.
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD degree and at least 1 year of research experience required. Postdoctoral Fellows in the Rutgers Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology are strongly preferred candidates.
