The Senior Applications and CRM Analyst position fulfills a mission-critical role and urgent need for the University. The position provides support for integrating applications such as Salesforce, Banner, and other Mason systems. The incumbent leverages knowledge of student data for extraction and loading into the CRM. This includes data cleansing and transformation for downstream operation and reporting usage.

Projects and Initiatives:
Develop creative solutions for implementing new initiatives as they relate to Salesforce, student data, and associated processes;
Apply a broad range of principles, practices, and procedures to complete difficult and complex assignments, including project management activities such as defining scope, scheduling tasks/resources, and tracking and documenting status;
Participate in departmental strategic planning activities.
Data and Process Analysis:
Leverage knowledge of student data for extraction and loading into Salesforce. This includes data cleansing and transformation for downstream operational and reporting usage;
Retrieve and perform analysis on data extracted from Banner, Degree Works, and associated data sources using SQL Developer and other BI tools such as MicroStrategy;
Analyze current business processes;
Identify opportunities for improvement with a critical eye toward CRM-based solutions.
Provide technical leadership, training, and support to staff, particularly associated with Salesforce and Banner functionality;
Guide and mentor team members on technical matters.
System and User Support:
Monitor, evaluate, test, and validate application functionality including patches, point releases, and upgrades;
Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to provide operational support for end users.
Perform various other duties where the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position;
Provide general assistance to the department as requested and needed.
Education or training:
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Windows, associated PC productivity tools, Oracle, including a strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL;
Ability to lead a project team and mentor staff in advanced techniques;
Ability to define customers’ business requirements in order to analyze and design new applications to satisfy their needs;
Ability to analyze technical issues and problems effectively;
Ability to understand complex relational database designs;
Demonstrate a strong combination of systems, data, and business analysis skills.
Level and type of Experience:
Demonstrated experience working with an enterprise CRM;
Experience utilizing project management principles and SDLC processes;
Experience writing requirements documentation, design specifications, and test cases;
Experience performing technical user support;
Experience testing system releases, patches, and upgrades;
Progressively responsible experience in analysis and design of business applications;
Experience reporting from large complex databases.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs):
University experience, Ellucian Banner, SQL Developer.
Level and type of Experience:
Current demonstrated experience with Salesforce, ERP Student modules (Banner, Oracle) and related database design;
Experience conducting training of both technical and non-technical customers;
Experience with at least two of the following applications: 25Live, Automic Applications Manager, Banner Document Management System (WebXtender), Blackboard, Caspio, College Scheduler, CourseLeaf, Degree Works, Dynamic Forms, Evisions, MicroStrategy, and Salesforce.
Salary: $85,000-$95,000; commensurate with education and experience.
