Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and a member of the marketing team, the School of Continuing Studies (SCS) Photographer/Videographer serves as principal visual and digital asset creator for SCS. With excellent interpersonal communications, project and time management skills, s/he will be responsible for producing strategic and compelling photography and video that highlight the students, faculty, staff, programs, and facilities of Georgetown University and the School of Continuing Studies. In collaboration with the marketing team, s/he will also manage the building, developing, and maintaining of our photography and video asset library. The Photographer / Videographer has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
Create dynamic engaging content for digital channels and media in alignment with Georgetown SCS brand identity and messaging guidelines, including vertical video for social media use.
Conceptualize and plan projects with marketing team using creative briefs and storyboards, managing timelines to deliver video projects successfully in a timely manner.
Develop production schedule, record b-roll, edit, and load final content on desired platform, including animation or motion graphics as required.
Manage the organization and tagging of preferred videos and b-roll footage to build video footage library.
Create dynamic engaging images for use in digital, print, and advertising in alignment with Georgetown SCS brand identity guidelines.
Work with marketing team and clients to schedule photo shoots, choose selects, and refine final images as required for their specific use.

Other duties as assigned
Work on special projects as needed, including but not limited to, capturing major events such as the May commencement ceremony.
Help identify and select specific cameras and lighting equipment required.
Use project management tools (i.e. Asana) to document the status of projects.
Perform routine video and audio equipment maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of five years' experience operating video cameras and editing equipment
Demonstrated knowledge of professional lighting techniques and audio editing for both photography and video
Solid experience in video and photography production and post-production techniques with hands-on experience in both shooting and editing with the ability to develop skills and adapt as mediums and technologies rapidly evolve
Understanding of various compression formats
Ability to conduct on-camera interviews in varying situations; from staged to "man-on-the-street" styles
Experience with animation and motion graphics, i.e., After Effects
Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills with superb attention to detail
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Google apps, and working knowledge of Photoshelter, and of project management tools like Asana, Trello, and Slack
Higher education experience preferred
The availability to work occasional after-hours assignments (nights/weekends) to cover events is expected
