Major Duties: - Teach the social studies methods courses.- Coordinate the pre-internship courses and teach the seminar.- Teach graduate courses in curriculum and instruction.
Minimum Qualifications: -Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction by May 2020 from an accredited institution.- Specialization in Social Studies Methods and/or related fields.- Minimum of three years teaching in public/private elementary and/or middle schools.- Experience in and dedication to working in clinical settings and building school-based partnerships.- Experience in and commitment to teaching undergraduate courses in social studies and related areas.- Interest in the supervision of teacher candidates in field placements.- Commitment to social justice and diversity.- Commitment to forging strong partnerships at the national, state, and local level.- Interest in teaching and developing curricula in innovative formats (cohort, hybrid, online, site-based, etc.)
