The Nurse Midwifery and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Masters Specialty Track Coordinator is appointed by the Dean and has administrative responsibility for the implementation, innovation, and evaluation of the specialty track. This is a tenure or clinical track position, doctoral degree required. This is a 12-month tenure track or clinical track position. Productivity in scholarship and contributions to educational grants to support the specialty track is an expectation of this position. Representation at national meetings and leadership in specialty track competencies and accreditation is expected. The Masters Specialty Track Coordinator works in collaboration with the Master's Program Director and Assistant Dean for Graduate Clinical Programs and reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation. General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and promote continuous evidence-based quality improvement of the specialty track. - Provide leadership for specialty track development and refinement, consistent with national trends, standards, certification and accreditation requirements. - Provide leadership for regulatory reports required for specialty track. - Engage in planning strategic initiatives for the Master's specialty track in collaboration with Master's Program Director, specialty track faculty, Assistant Dean for Graduate Clinical Programs and the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation, including curricular revisions and enrollment targets - Collaborate with clinical placement staff and specialty track faculty in the establishment and maintenance of partnerships for clinical experiences. - In collaboration with faculty, oversee the quality and appropriateness of clinical training sites, clinical preceptors and student clinical evaluation - Participate in training grants to support the specialty track. - Identify long- and short-term student retention strategies in collaboration with academic leadership and student support services.
